Morocco has welcomed India’s Defence Minister at the inauguration of a new armoured vehicle plant in Berrechid. The facility, built through a partnership between Indian and Moroccan firms, marks a step forward in bilateral defence cooperation.
The plant will produce and assemble advanced armoured vehicles, aiming to strengthen Morocco’s domestic defence industry and create opportunities for technology transfer and local employment.
Officials from both countries highlighted the opening as a milestone in expanding strategic ties, with defence seen as a growing area of collaboration alongside existing political and economic links.
