The Minister of Defence and Military Veterans, Ms Angie Motshekga, will attend the Seoul Defence Dialogue 2025 (SDD2025) at the invitation of the Acting Minister of National Defence of the Republic of Korea (RoK) His Excellency Mr KIM Seon-ho.
The Dialogue will take place from Monday, 08 September to Wednesday, 10 September 2025 in Seoul, Republic of Korea. As part of her programme, Minister Motshekga will also participate in the 75th Anniversary Commemoration of the United Nations (UN) Command, a milestone occasion honouring the Command’s contribution to peace and stability on the Korean Peninsula.
The Seoul Defence Dialogue 2025 is a forward-looking knowledge-based conference addressing the latest developments in defence technology and global security issues. It serves as a key international platform to strengthen cooperation in the Asia-Pacific region while enabling leaders, defence officials and security experts from around the world to exchange ideas on building peace and stability.
Minister Motshekga’s participation underscores South Africa’s commitment to peace, multilateral cooperation and constructive dialogue in tackling global security challenges.
